Imanishi Wetstone 1000/4000
This Imanishi ceramic stone is a "two-in-one" whetstone. One side has a most useful #1000 medium-grit abrasive for shaping the cutting edge, while the other side has a #4000 fine-grit abrasive for polishing and honing the cutting edge. The #4000 grit side is also very useful for the occasional 'touch-up' during long working sessions in the kitchen.
This Special Combination Whetstone does not need to be soaked in water before sharpening. Either side of the whetstone can be used immediately after its surface has been thoroughly wetted with water. To ensure a smooth and efficient sharpening experience, we recommend that you occasionally re-wet the surface of the stone during sharpening. Before storing your whetstone, please air-dry the stone in a warm, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and other sources of heat.
